ALONZO SEBURN "Bud" GOINGS was the 3rd child, 1st born twin, of Alonzo Stubblefield Going and Pearl Cathern Holt Going and a World War II Army Veteran. Like his brothers, Alonzo died from heart disease. He was named after his father, Alonzo, and his Grandfather, Seburn Holt. Alonzo's mother, his twin sister Pearl Imogene and brother Charles Asro Goings added an "s" to their last name (Goings) after the death of their father and upon moving to Oklahoma. It was explained that when the children entered school in Oklahoma their teachers automatically added an "s" to their last name and they just got used to the change and stopped trying to correct everyone. Alonzo's oldest brother, Duel Glen Going, left the family in Oklahoma and returned to live with his uncle in Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas; therefore, he kept his last name without an "s" (Going). 1st marriage was to ROSETTA RITTER on 08 Jun 1938 in Cushing, Payne County, Oklahoma. 2nd marriage was to LORENE RICH BRASHER on 25 Apr 1942 in Chandler, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. Child of ALONZO GOINGS and LORENE BRASHER: ALONZO SEBURN (Seibe) "Bud" GOINGS, JR. 3rd marriage was to BILLIE MARIE SLATON on 23 Apr 1946 in Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico. Children of ALONZO GOINGS and BILLIE SLATON: JESSIE EARL JENKINS, MARY CATHERINE JENKINS, RANDALL GENE JENKINS. Billie married Russell Jenkins after her divorce from Alonzo and the children's last name was changed to Jenkins. 4th marriage was to VIRGIE LEE BOWLIN on 01 May 1951 in Portales, Roosevelt County, New Mexico. Child of ALONZO GOINGS and VIRGIE BOWLIN: SHEILA KAY GOINGS. 5th marriage was to MELBA RUE MCLEOD SHERWOOD 13 Jun 1957 in Odessa, Ector County, Texas. ALONZO SEBURN "Bud" GOINGS is my Uncle.
