Mrs. Zelma Lois Smith Finch, 81, a retired school teacher, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services are today at 11:00 A. M., at Dickens Chapel following interment in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Rev. Edd Woodall will officiate the services.
Mrs. Zelma Finch was born November 15, 1926 in Barth, Miss., to Jonathan Reddoch Smith and Jessie Mae Coty Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Instrumental starting International Ballet Competition.
Mrs. Finch is survived by her sons, Charles and Nicholas Finch; daughters, Anne Walker and Janet Sedano; sister, Pat Logue; brother, Charles Smith; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Finch was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan Reddoch Smith and Jessie Mae Coty, husband, Governor Cliff Finch, sister, Karen Byrd and a brother, Jonh Smith.
