Jason Philo Jewett, b. Oct. 13, 1827, Swanton, Franklin, Vermont. d. Nov. 4, 1894. He was the son of Eleazor Jewett and Dorothy Abel (buried St. Albans Bay Cemetery). He married July 4, 1850, Elizabeth Maria (Betty) Holdridge b. Sept. 10, 1833. d. Aug. 27, 1907.

"They resided in Swanton, where he was appointed Postmaster May 11, 1861, which office he held for a number of years. He died Nov. 4, 1894 without issue, but had one adopted daughter, vis., Mattie Laselle."

The Jewett genealogy had no further information on Elizabeth Holdridge or dates of birth or death.
