In addition, he designed the first of the Carnegie Libraries to be built in St. Louis, the Wednesday Club and the entrance gates to Portland Place. He was active outside St. Louis as a designer of railroad stations and instutional buildings and late in his career designed major government, educational and charitable structures in Mississippi. (bio by: Connie Nisinger)
