Services Held Feb. 19 For Zeeland Woman

Funeral services for Mrs. Anton Feist, long-time resident of the Zeeland area, were held Saturday, Feb. 19, from St. Andrew's Catholic church at Zeeland. Rev. Fr. Richard Futcher officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Acting pallbearers were the deceased woman's sons and sons-in-law. In charge of funeral arrangements was Alex Mehlhoff, Zeeland undertaker.

Mrs. Feist, who died suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday, Feb. 15, was 64 years old at the time of her death.

She was born Miss Eva Wenninger in 1885 in Russia. Mrs. Feist came to this country with her parents in 1898. She was married to Anton Feist on Nov. 25, 1902 and settled on a farm five miles northeast of Zeeland. To this union were born six boys and three girls. Mr. and Mrs. Feist moved to Zeeland in 1941 where they have lived since.

Surviving are her husband, Mr. Anton Feist; sons, Anton, Johnny, Mike, Frank and Aloys of Zeeland; and Joe of Berlin, N.D. Daughters, Mrs. Anna Marie Streifle, Zeeland; Mrs. Elizabeth Knoll of Berlin, N.D.; and Mrs. Barbara Eberle, Hague. Sisters, Mrs. Johanna Singer, Aberdeen; Mrs. Sophia Gerhardt, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Magdalena Schaw, Karlsrube, N.D.; and Katie whose last name is undetermined. Brothers, Benedict and Frank of Karlsrube; Anton, Center, N.D.; and Carl, Wendelin, and John. She leaves 33 grandchildren.
