Similda Lawrence was born in January 1885 in Fillmore County, Nebraska. She had had ten siblings and by 1900, the family was living near Moorefield, Nebraska. Similda married a neighbor boy, Glenn L. Greenlee on Sept. 11, 1904 at Stockville, NE. Her death occurred on March 2, 1905, six months after her marriage.

Today her burial place is marked by this flat stone place by the Farnam Cemetery with memorial money provided by the Farnam Alumni and Friends.

Mrs. Glenn Greenlee of near Farnam died last Thursday evening about six o’clock, her mother, Mrs. Sallie Lawrence, who has been sick for some time, died about two o’clock the next morning soon after receiving the news of her daughter’s death. Mrs. Lawrence lived about seven miles north of Stockville.

The funeral of Mrs. Greenlee was held Saturday and the remains interred in the Farnam Cemetery. Mrs. Lawrence was buried the following day at Moorefield.

Mrs. Greenlee was a sister to Mrs. C. A. Fox of Stockville and Mrs. Lawrence was a sister of G. R. Folden of Stockville, and the mother of R. R. Lawrence who left Stockville about a year ago.
