Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Marilyn Richards Covey Williams, passed away at home on Nov. 12, 1993 at the age of 65.

Born June 28, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Stephen Glenn and Irene Louise Richards Covey. She had a deep love and gratitude for her family and her wonderful heritage.

Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, "Nana". She had a special relationship with each child and grandchild, all of whom she loved unconditionally. She lived a full and energetic life. She graduated from East High School, received a bachelor's degree from the U of U and a master's degree from Columbia University. Married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1950. She enjoyed being a member of the Tabernacle Choir for 20 years, and also a member of Cleofan and the Fine Arts Clubs.

She served in the LDS Church on the General Board, as Ward Relief Society President, and in many other capacities. She was creative, fun and optimistic. She had a great enthusiasm for life. She loved Hebgen Lake, Mt. Aire, and making trails in the oak with her kids. She met life's challenges with courage, strength and humor.


Funeral Services were held on Tuesday November 16, 1993 at 12 Noon in the Mount Olympus 12th Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3862 East Oakview Drive (4275 South). Friends attended a Viewing at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (2000-East) on Monday Evening from 6-8 P.M. and at the Ward Chapel on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:45 A.M. Prior To Services.
Graveside Services followed at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Holladay, Utah where she was buried.
