Sarah Elizabeth (Hysell) Robertson was born in Frontier, Lincoln, Wyoming which is located just North of Kemmerer Wyoming. Her Father and Mother were Denver Llewellyn Hysell and Martha (Overy) Hysell. She was the 8th of 12 children.

Sarah married Maxwell Park Robertson, 7 Mar 1916, in Millburne, Uinta, Wyoming where they had a ranch. Sarah and Maxwell had seven children: Earl Park Robertson, 26 Dec 1917; Annie Robertson; Denver Llewellyn Robertson, 8 Nov 1923; Harold Maxwell Robertson, 12 Apr 1925; John Felix Robertson, 22 Sep 1927; Vern Robertson, 13 Sep 1929; Bernice Robertson, 18 Jun 1932. Harold only lived 13 days.

Sometime after Bernice was born they lost the ranch due to delinquent taxes. The family then moved to Evanston Wyoming. Maxwell operated the city sewage disposal plant and they lived in a house next to the plant, which was on the Northwest outskirts of town next to the Bear River.

Sarah suffered many years with a bad leg requiring her to wear a full leg brace. She died 9 Feb 1967 in Evanston, Wyoming at home.
