French Queen. Third wife of King Charles IV. They were closely related as their fathers were step-brothers. The Pope allowed the marriage anyway. They were married in July 1325. She gave birth to two daughters in 1326 and 1327. Charles died in 1328. He was the last of the Capet kings and had hoped to continue his line. She was pregnant when he died, but the child was a daughter again. The following four decades of her life she lived quietly in Brie-Comte-Robert where she had married Charles. Her body was buried in St. Denis, her heart at the Cordeliers convent in Paris and her entrails in the Abbey of Maubuisson.
