Enlisted & mustered Nov. 22, 1862; (Note this would agree with 1844 birth date on stone) Residence Burlington,Ia Nativity Indiana. (Note this disagrees with listed nativity) Discharged for disability Sept. 18 1863, St. Louis, Mo."
