James "Jim" O. Cole, 67, of Springfield, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at St. John's Hospital. He was born October 20, 1939 in Springfield, IL, the son of Oliver and Juanita Cole. He married Evelyn Warren on November 8, 1980. His parents and Aunt Hope preceded him in death. Mr. Cole was a maintenance worker for Capital Aviation for 23 years. He enjoyed Bingo, watching NASCAR, bowling, and fishing. Survivors: wife, Evelyn Cole of Springfield; one sister, Clara (husband, Robert) McDermott of Niles, MI; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Nancy and Shawn Reeves. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2007. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Pastor Dennis Hamilton officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home of Service.
