Cuban Baseball Pioneer. Born in Cuba in 1883, he was a catcher in the Cuban Baseball League. For ten seasons (1902-11), he played for several Havana ball clubs, including Rojo, Azul, Almendares, Club Fe and Habana Club. In addition, he also played in the Cuban-American Negro Major League Clubs Series, (1904, 1906, 1909-10). In 1949, he was inducted into the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame.
