Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu T. Barnes, daughter of former governor John R. Tanner and sister of J. Mack Tanner, who died at her home in Chicago last Saturday, will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at Smith's Undertaking establishment. Short services will also be held at the grave at Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mrs. Barnes died after an illness of several months.

She was born and spent her childhood in Louisville, Ill. Later she attended the Bettie Stuart institute here and afterwares Mrs. Summers' school in Washington.

In 1891 she was married to John A. Barnes of Louisville and made her home there until her father was elected governor, when they moved to this city. Later she went to Chicago.

She is survived by three children, John, Mildred and Fred Barnes, all of whom live in Chicago. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL 9-4-1920
