Charles "Bud" L. Hartnett Jr., 77, of Kenosha, formerly of Westfield, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 4, 1929, to the late Charles "Gabby" L. and Martha (Marshall) Hartnett in Chicago, Ill. On Dec. 9, 1946, he entered the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a Private First Class and was honorably discharged on May 3, 1948. Bud owned and operated Quality Home Care in Des Plaines, Ill., for 37 years. He enjoyed flying planes, riding tractors, and had a great sense of humor. He was also a life long cubby fan. Bud is survived by his son, Steven (Mary) Hartnett of Nokomis, Fla.; his daughters, Hope (Dave) Komiss of Hawaii, Donna (John) Biebrach of Northbrook, Ill., Joanne "Tiger" (Jim) Biebrach of Northbrook, Ill., Kathleen (Jeremy) Taylor of Kenosha, Peggy Hartnett of Antioch, Ill., Martha Hartnett of Ill., Ann (Dejan) Tajsic of Ill.; his sister, Sheila (Bob) Hornof of Missouri.; his 17 grandchildren; and his one great grandchild. Funeral services for Bud will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon from 4 p.m. until time of service.
