Clem graduated from Lincoln Cathedral High School with the class of 1955. Went to Doane University for one year to pay football. He met Doris Shambaugh in Lincoln, Nebraska. They married June 11, 1960. To this union, 3 daughters were born, Angie, Connie and Christie. The couple lived all over Nebraska following Clem’s job with the State of Nebraska. In December 1997, after working for the State for 35 years, he retired in Bridgeport. He loved deer hunting, camping, fishing, Nebraska football and hunting in the sandhills of Nebraska. Clem harvested a deer for the last 53 years on the Dub’s Ranch.
Survivors include his 3 daughters; Angie (Nick) Lincoln, Kilgore, Nebraska, Connie (Greg) Drake, Elmwood, Nebraska, Christie (Tim) Aanenson, Farnam, Nebraska, 1 sister; Sister Rita Carr, St. Catharine, Kentucky, 6 grandchildren; JayCee (Matt) Holthaus, Summerfield, Kansas, Kylie (Chad) Kasperbauer, Spalding, Nebraska, Brody (Abby Smith) Drake, Elmwood, Nebraska, T.J. (Hannah Fessler) Aanenson, Beaumont, Texas, Sam (Kendal Johnson) Aanenson, Chadron, Nebraska, Slim Lincoln, Valentine, Nebraska, great-grandchildren; Elsie, Henry, Josephine and Mattie Holthaus, Tripp Kasperbauer, special friend; Irene Roop, Chappell, Nebraska, numerous other family members and friends including special friends; Troy and Tammie Dubs and family, Ashby, Nebraska, Jay Dubs and family, Alliance, Nebraska and Val and Arch Hill and family, Waverly, Nebraska.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Doris, sisters; Colleen Weber, Connie Carr and Verena Carr and brother; Bill Carr, grandson; Jedidiah Drake.
Cremation was chosen and inurement will be at Guide Rock Cemetery at a later date.
