Son of George W. Hoy and his wife, Sarah Lovejoy (Root) Hoy. George Jr. died less than 24 hours after his arrival in Monmouth, from complications of diabetes. He had intended to join his elder brothers in business at Monmouth. His grave is marked by a very worn marker, hardly legible today.
