Marian S. Goeltz

Marian Story Goeltz, age 78, died June 30, 1984 in a Salt Lake City hospital.

Born June 16, 1906 in Ouray, Colorado to William and Florence Macarthur Story, Jr. Married Francis Boydell Goeltz Dec. 31, 1928 in Salt Lake City. He died August, 1966. Active member of St. Marks Cathedral. Graduate of Roland Hall. Attended Vassar College. Active member and former president of American Red Cross, Salt Lake Council of Girl Scouts of America, Junior League, League of Women Voters, Altar Guild of St. Marks, and of the Alumni Association at Roland Hall. Decendant of Justice Joseph Story who was the founder of Harvard Law School.

Survived by son and daughters [two], Francis Story Goeltz (1932-1995), Santa Fe, New Mexico; . . . ; seven grandchildren, sister, Eleanor Story Nowels, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Catherine Lium, brother, William MacArthur Story and sister, Florence Story Haines.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive. Memorial services will follow at 12 noon at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 So. Friends may call at Eastman's Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 1st So. Monday, 7-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to the Humane Society of Utah's Educational and Nursing Home Program, 4613 South 4000 West or to Roland Hall-St. Marks School.
