She was first married to James O'Brien who was shot and killed by accident by a neighbor and she was then united in marriage to Thomas Yarbrough January 17, 1909 at Piedmont, KS. They came to Little River in 1909 where they made their home.

Minnie Fox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Fox of Piedmont, Kansas, was born October 17, 1878 and died March 3, 1927; aged 53 years, 4 months and 16 days. She was married to James O'Brien October 30, 1892. To this union were born four children, the youngest Earl, dying in infancy. On December 11, 1904 James O'Brien was accidently shot and killed by his friend and neighbor. This left the burden of a family to be borne by this young mother. On January 17, 1909, she was united in marriage to J.T. Yarbrough. A few years ago they purchased the M.M. Hagan property and have made their home in Little River
