Mildred Marie Martin, 85, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on November 3, 2007. Known to many as Millie, she was born in Detroit, MI, on May 11, 1922, and came to Whatcom County in 1930. She married Cecil Martin in 1952 and they bought a home on Chuckanut Drive. There she raised her family and lived for the rest of her life.
Millie is survived by her children: Cheri of Bellingham, Keith (Diana) of Federal Way, Brian (Tina) of Bellingham, Kevin (Lonna) of Confluence, PA, and Todd of Seattle; grandchildren: Megan (Josh) Harrison, Heather (Matt) Duran, and Justin, Jeffrey, David, Roslyn, and Mengistu Martin; sisters Adele Whitford and Terry Mayberry; as well as many other family and friends.
Those who went before her include her husband, Cecil; parents Clinton and Gladys Gulick, Emmett and Ellen McKinlay; brothers Clayton and Clinton Gulick; and sister Wanda Elmore.
Memorial Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Bellingham, 110 Flora Street, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 10th, with a reception following, then burial at Bayview Cemetery.
