Rev. Lewis Denny Alexander was the son of Travis Alexander and Fannie Denny. He was the first minister of the Dallasburg Baptist Church. He came to Owen County in 1835 and purchased a farm next to his brother, John Denny Alexander.
He married #1- Louvenia Chambers on May 25, 1820, #2-Elizabeth Vallandingham on November 10, 1845.
