SUFFOLK, Va. - Mrs. Carrie Hardison Justice, age 79, of Driver's Station, Suffolk, Va., died Saturday afternoon in Portsmouth, Va., following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Justice was born in Onslow County on July 28, 1899, and was the daughter of the late Lymm and Mary Catherine Padget Hardison.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nola Riggs of Wilmington, Mrs. Geneva Gainey of Portsmouth, Va., and Mrs. Mary Catherine Bains of Norfolk. Va.; five sons, Jay Justice of Riegelwood, Lemuel Lee Justice, Marion Clifton Justice and William Joseph Justice, all of Wilmington, and Robert Horace Justice of Suffolk, Va.; 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Coble's Oleander Chapel with the Rev. L.A. Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Lee Justice Jr., Larry Justice, Marion C. Justice Jr., Ronnie Justice, Danny Justice and Woody Macon. Honorary bearers will be Wayne David Sullivan, Barry Justice, Clifton Justice, Jerry Riggs and Ray Riggs.
The family will receive friends at Coble's Oleander Chapel from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and at other times will be at the residence of her son, Lemuel Lee Justice, 119 Gordon Rd.
