Mrs. Lettie McCarty died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1931, at Naylors, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Marks. Mrs. Carter, as she was familiarly known here, had been in poor health for several years and had made her home with her nephew Mr. Ivan Marks where she was lovingly cared for, her children all having married away from the old home. Late in life Mrs. Carter married Mr. John McCarty, who survives her. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Robert Bellows of St. Johns FL. and Mrs. Malcolm McFarland of Mobile AL; one son, Mr. Walter Carter of Washington, all children by her former marriage, and one sister, Mrs. I. M. Bussells of Fleeton.
