He was born October 15, 1926 in Farnam son of Christian and Lucile (Bick) Gaibler
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church - Eustis and Trinity Lutheran - Gothenburg.
Lester was born and raised in Farnam.
On June 16, 1949 Lester married Laura Marie Reiker at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eustis, NE. Lester and Laura made their home on a farm west of Farnam until 1992 when they moved into Farnam. They celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in June of 2009.
Survivors include a daughter, Gwen (Rick) Kotschwar of Farnam; two granddaughters, Gretchin (John) Heckenlively of Elwood, Stephanie (Nicolas) Gaibler; two grandsons, Derek (Amanda) Kotschwar of Lincoln, NE, Christian Gaibler of Great Falls, VA; great grandson, Mason Hickenlively; great-granddaughter, Elle Heckenlively; brother in law, Wayne (Joanne) Reiker; son in law, Rick Kotschwar of Farnam, NE; sister, Ruth Sturgeon of Cozad.
Lester was preceded in death by wife, Laura Marie Gaibler, father, Christian Gottieb Gaibler, mother, Lucile Gaibler, son, Floyd Gaibler.
Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeff Cottingham officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eustis East Cemetery, Eustis, Nebraska.
