A. M. KENNEDY Dies at Kerrville.
Kerrville, Texas - A. M. KENNEDY, 48 years of age, of this city, representative from this district, former speaker of the Texas house of representatives, and a picturesque figure in Texas state politics for a quarter of a century is dead. Mr. KENNEDY died here at 6 o'clock Sunday morning after an illness of long duration, the end of which had been forseen for many weeks. The body was sent to Marlin for the funeral and interment Monday.

In 1909, on the last day of the regular session, the House passed a resolution condemning Speaker A.M. Kennedy over questions of spending for staff and furniture. On the second day of a special session, Kennedy resigned as speaker but won re-election twice despite being condemned by his House colleagues.
