Organized Crime Figure. Known as "Little Augie Pisano", he was a Captain the Genovese Organized Crime Family, and was a powerful member of the Family going back to the days of Joseph (Joe the Boss) Masseria. According to Joseph Valachi, he was murdered because he refused to meet with Vito Genovese after Genovese took control of the Family in 1957. Anthony Carfano was shot to death in his car on a street in Queens, New York. Mrs. Janice Drake, a dancer, was in the car with Carfano and was also murdered. He is entombed in the mausoleum of his Father-in-law John (Jimmy Kelly) DeSalvio, who was a Democratic leader from the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan, New York, and an owner of "Jimmy Kelly's" nightclub.
