He attended Illinois State University as a music major and as an accomplished musician he sometimes played in the symphony at Normal. He was employed in the restaurant business at several different establishments in Springfield. Recently, he was employed by his aunt, Frances Nichols Fielden, as a manager of her farm and properties. He was a former member of Third Presbyterian Church and a member of Sangamon County Farm Bureau. He loved gardening and was an excellent skydiver having accomplished eight hundred jumps.
He was preceded in death by one brother: Larry S. Wainscott, Jr. Surviving are his parents: Mr. & Mrs. Larry (Bonnie) Wainscott of Virden; one sister; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation accorded by Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial service held at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley, officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
