Howard Wren Dies Suddenly Had Heart Attack Early This Morning

LOGANTON — Howard Earl Wren, 73, carpenter and barber here, died Saturday, April 15, 1061 at his home, suddenly, of a heart attack. His health had been a matter of concern since last October. However, he was in his usual health last evening when he visited a grocery store at 9 p. m., then went home to eat a light lunch before retiring. He became fatally ill about midnight.
Mr. Wren was a native of Loganton, born April 2, 1888 in the house where he lived all his life. His parents were Henry and Sophia Brungard Wren.
He was a carpenter by trade, but for the past 40 years had also operated a barber shop in his home.
His wife, the former Laura Molenkophf, whom he married in 1922, survived, with a son, Kenneth, of Philadelphia; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Hartman, of St. Marys; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren , a brother, Harvey Wren, Loganton.
Howard was also survived by four stepsons: Clarence Weaver, Naugatuck Connecticut; Ernest and Larry Bower, Williamsport, and Harry Bower, Salona R. D.
