Born June 12, 1926, in Leader Heights, she was the daughter of the late Guy A. and Beulah (Boyer) Leader.
Mrs. Eisenhart graduated from William Penn High School in York in 1944 and Hood College in Frederick, Md., in 1948 with a degree in Home Economics. Jean was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hanover, a 55 year member of the Hanover Country Club, and a strong Alumni supporter of Hood College. She also thrived on cooking for family and friends. Mrs. Eisenhart's vocation and avocation was the Eisenhart Wallcoverings Company from 1968 to the 1990's where she was Treasurer, Vice President, and a member of the Board of Directors.
Jean is survived by two sons, S. Forry Eisenhart, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Hanover, and Martin P. Eisenhart of Hanover; two brothers, Former Governor George M. Leader of Hummelstown and Henry B. Leader of York; five grandchildren, M G Eisenhart of Philadelphia, Meredith C. Eisenhart of Washington, D.C., S. Forry Eisenhart, III of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth E. May and her husband, Jon of Springfield, and Jonathan A. Eisenhart of Findlay, Ohio; one brother-inlaw, William S. Eisenhart, Jr. of York; one sister-in-law, Susan Schilling of Rochester, N.Y.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Hovis, Paul Leader, Guy A. Leader, Jr., and Lois Collins.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Serving as casketbearers will be her grandchildren.
