Timothy grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the son of Robert L. and Susan A (Woodworth) Hanson. He was educated at Roosevelt Elementary School and McKinley Middle School before graduating from Indian Trail Academy high school in 2003. During high school he had a newspaper route, and during college he worked as a ride operator at Six Flags Great America and in the dairy department at a Kenosha Pick 'n Save. After high school he attended Northern Michigan University for about a year before transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He enlisted in the Army in April of 2006, after losing 35 pounds in 5 months to meet the weight requirement. He was currently assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Benning, Georgia. Known as a mature, passionate man, it was the Army that gave him his mature confidence. Tim had a tremendous love of movies and history, especially the Civil War and WWII. He planned on obtaining his degree in history someday and had stuffed almost 300 DVD's into his duffle bags when he left for Iraq. Tim is survived by his parents; his sister, Jennifer (Kenneth) Clope of Kenosha; his brother, Andrew Hanson still at home; his maternal grandfather, Robert Woodworth; his two aunts: Pat Hanson and Julie Woodworth; and his cousins: Kathleen (James) Houch, Clifford (Laurie) Turner, David Hanson, Jeff (Jody) Hanson, and Meghan Woodworth. Tim was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Lelah Hanson; and his maternal grandmother, Dolores Woodworth. Bio by: Sue
