Mrs. Mary Louise Perkins, 79, mother of country music singer Carl Perkins of Jackson, died Sunday at Maplewood Health Care Center in Jackson after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at George A. Smith & Sons South Funeral Home with burial in Hollywood Cemetery. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Perkins, the widow of Buck Perkins, also leaves a sister, Ms. Earnest Perkins of Jackson, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
