My husband's family is of the surname Elenz, they descend out of the Elenz family that came from Treves, Prussia (now Germany). It has taken me the last three years to put a tree together for my husband's side of the family as he knows little of the Elenz family except that of his mother and grandmother who married into the Elenz in Chicago, IL, therefore his mother's maiden name being Elenz.
Ruth G. Elenz is the daughter of Jacob John Elenz and Anna V. Nicholson and was born on 24 Apr 1926 in Chicago, Cook Co. IL. She had two brothers; Robert J. Elenz b. 5 Dec 1922 and died 11 July 1989, William Jacob b. 10 Mar 1925 and died 4 Apr 1945 Chicago,IL.
Jacob John Elenz is the son of Johan Michael Elenz and Mary Freehauf-Elenz b. 31 Mar 1861 d. 1928 and he is the son of Maxamillian Elenz b. 1836 in Treves, Prussia d. 1893 in Chicago, IL.
I just thought if you would like to put Ruth's birthday on her memorial that would be awesome! If you would allow me to connect her with the rest of her family I would love to be able to do that so when people look at it they don't wonder what happened to Ruth they will know by the connection. Also Jacob and Anna Elenz had one other child, her name was Ann Adell Elenz b. 17 March 1921 she must have died very young as she doesn't show on the 1930 census at all. States that the mother has had 4 children with 3 living.
