A funeral will be held Thursday, September 8th, 2005 for 77-year-old Mary Aletha Arnold Brady of Ste. Genevieve, who died today, Monday, September 5th, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.

She was born February 15th, 1928 in Kaskaskia, Illinois, the daughter of Al and Mary M. (Grabe) Hurst who both preceded her in death.

She married Harold Arnold on September 28th, 1945. He preceded her in death.

She married Elroy Brady on April 12th, 1975. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son and daughter in law, Robert J. and Betty Arnold of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter and son in law, Mary Ann and Ray Schweigert of Ozora; a sister in law, Anna Mae Arnold of Ste. Genevieve; a brother in law, Wilfred Fischer of Ste. Genevieve; four grandchildren: Jason and his wife Christina Arnold of Ste. Genevieve, Mike and his wife Laura Boland of Minnith, Sara Schweigert of Minnith and Doug Schweigert of Ozora; and eight great grandchildren: Ashley Arnold, Austin Arnold, Taylor Arnold, Tyller Arnold, Samantha Gettinger, Danielle Boland, Anna Boland and Michael S. Boland.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stanford Hurst and Orval Hurst; and a sister, Ramona Robertson.

She was a member of the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Ladies Sodality, Begin Again Program for the Widowed and ILGWA.

She was retired from Miss Elaine.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The hospital auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary will gather at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral for 77-year-old Mary Aletha Arnold Brady of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 8th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.

Memorials may be made to the VFW Auxiliary Cancer Fund or to Masses.
