Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ellen Gordon Hamilton, 85 of 3175 Fifth East street who died last Friday night at 2171 Fifth East street of causes incident to age, were held Monday afternoon in the Miller L.D.S. ward chapel. Edward J. Solomon, bishop of the ward, was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Elysian Burial Gardens.
Mrs. Hamilton was born in Mill Creek, July 4, 1855 a daughter of James and Morion Ellen Park Gordon and had been a resident of Salt Lake county all her life. She served many years in the Miller L.D.S. ward relief society.
Surviving are two sons James C. Hamilton of Shelley, Idaho, John A. Hamilton of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mr. A. T. Shurtleff of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Bruce Calder of Roosevelt; 18 grandchildren, 10 great grand children; four brothers, Abraham, Benjamin and David Gordon of Salt Lake City and Charles Gordon of Wyoming; three sisters Mrs. Amie Jones of Hollywood, Cal, Mrs. Rachel Cozier of Washington D.C. and Mrs. Josie Mastin of Idaho.
