Died, Sept. 4, at her home in Riverside, Ill., Laura Blossom Bates, aged 66 years. The deceased was the wife of Erastus N. Bates. The remains will arrive here tomorrow and will be taken direct to Oak Ridge cemetery where the interment will be made.

Laura F. Blossom married Andrew Jackson Breed as his second wife. When he died she married Erastus. That is why their marriage record shows her as Laura Breed. Erastus is also mentioned in the probate records of Andrew Jackson Breed with the guardianship of his two daughters and Laura is mentioned as Mrs. Laura Bates on one of the documents that was signed by Erastus.
