Rev. Marmaduke Pearce was the son of Lt. Col. Cromwell and Margaret (Boggs) Pearce. Jane (Potter) Pearce was his 1st wife. They were married August 15, 1815 and she died October 18, 1818. Hannah (Jameson) Stewart Pearce was his 2nd wife. They were married in 1819 and she died October 21, 1850. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (now Western New York) Conference 1811 F 1813 To Baltimore Conference by change of boundaries 1820 To Oneida Conference by transfer 1833. To Wyoming Conference at organization 1852.
