Jack Morgan, aged 83, passed away at his home near Kilmichael on January 23. Mr. Morgan had been in ill health for several months but was confined to his bed about four weeks.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock on Thursday afternoon at Freewill Church of God, with the pastor, Rev. C. H. Isabelle, saying the last rites and the Trewolla Brothers in charge of the arrangements.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Verna Morgan; one sister, Mrs. George Ann Pearson of Kilmichael; four children, Mrs. M. C. Craig, of Lena, Derwood Morgan, French Camp Balpha and Gus Morgan, both of Kilmichael; sixteen grandchildren one great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
A precious one from us is gone
And one we loved is still;
There is a vacant chair in our home,
Which never can be filled.
