Byran G. Barker, 50, Conway Springs, KS, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Conway Springs, following an 8 year illness.

Byran was born April 24, 1957 in Neosho, MO, the son of Charles H. and Viola (Pruden) Barker. He served in the U.S. Air Force, 19 years, 1974-1993 and had worked as a jet engine mechanic. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway Springs; enjoyed playing guitar, raising exotic birds and restoring classic cars.

Byran married Theresa M. (Boccia) on April 25, 1994 at Galena, KS and she survives. Additional survivors include six children, Amanda Walker, Boston Lincolnshire, England; Natalie Leeper, Nevada, MO; Jonni M. Leeper, Pittsburg, KS; Brett Leeper, Springfield, MO; Nicholas Barker, Arkansas City, KS and Brigette Barker of the home; his father, Charles Barker, Neosho; one sister, Brenda Clay, Neosho, three grandchildren, and his pet Shih Tzu, Cosmo.

He is preceded in death by twin infant sons, Craig and Daniel Barker and his mother, Viola Barker.
