Ebenezer moved to Colchester, Chittenden County, Vermont, as early as 1795.
Ebenezer married Patience Parcher (1777-1844) by whom he had 12 children (7 sons and 5 daughters): Noah (1795-1847), Ira (1797-1813), Eunice Maria (1799-1851), Sylvia (1801-1835), Sabrina (1803-1866), Solomon W. (b. 1806), Ebenezer (1808-1883), Chauncey H. (1811-1885), Hiram Whitney (1814-1892), David W. (1815-1892), Patience Maritta (1818-1891), and Caroline (b. 1822).
