CLEMONS BEST
ST. PETERSBURG - Funeral services will be held Sunday for Clemons E. Best, 88, of Emlenton RD 3 (Turkey City) who died unexpectedly at 12:15 pm Thursday in his home.
He was born June 24, 1892, in Wentlings Corners, a son of Augustus and Lydia Louise Gilbert Best.
He was married first to the former Cora Klingler who died May 13, 1965.
His second wife, Orpha Best, died April 18, 1979.
Mr. Best retired as a carpenter from Quaker State.
Mr. Best was the last surviving member of his family. Six sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends will be received in the Karle McKinney Funeral Home in St. Petersburg from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today.
Services will be held there at 2:30 pm Sunday with Rev. Lewis Fox, a retired Lutheran minister, officiating.
Interment will be in Monroe Cemetery in Monroe.
