I often hear that our loved ones in heaven look out for us. If they can see us from heaven, I think how terribly hurt they would be when we do something adverse to our well-being. I also consider that perhaps they have transcended to the point they understand why we must go though the things we do and therefore, it does not bother them. Perhaps, they can protect us and make sure we do not die before our time. I believe if they could intervene and protect us from hurt, there would not have been anything bad happen to any member of my family since Uncle Emil went to heaven on October 6, 1956.

He and his brother, Otto, had farms just across the road from each other. My sisters would often walk the short distance to his house to visit with him.
His mother lived with him until her death.
My sisters are older than me and remember him much better than I do. I know they thought he was absolutely great.
He became very ill and was in the hospital a long time. He died of tuberculosis in the TB Sanitarium in Clinton Oklahoma. At that time, kids were not allowed to visit. I can remember standing in the parking lot at the hospital and watching his window because he would come to the window to wave at us.
