James Macaulay, 75, native of Scotland and farmer, died Tuesday at his home in Pierce's Corners.

He was born July 20, 1877, in Dundee, Scotland. He came to this vicinity in 1894 and in June 1905, married Nellie Hitsman.

The couple farmed in North Gouvernuer until 1912, when the moved to the Town of Macomb. In 1944 they retired from the farm and have since lived at Pierce's Corners. Mr. Macaulay is survived by his wife, one son, Henry Macaulay, Macomb; three daughters, Mrs. Claude Mabel Hutton, Brasie Corners; Mrs. Albert Elizabeth Raven, Elmdale, and Mrs. Harold Ruth Bessett, Macomb.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the Sprague Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph A. Schofield, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. James Keysor, pastor of Wesleyan Methodist Church at Pierce's Corners, Officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
