DECATUR, Neb. Graveside services for Charlie "Pretty Boy" Nipp were held Monday, April 14, 2008, in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Dale Wolf officiated.

Born June 1, 1932, in Simon to Con and Jessie Pearl Powell Nipp, Charlie passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Claud Nipp; four sisters, Parlee, Meady Mae, Elnora and Dorleen; and a son, Bobby Nipp.

Charlie was raised in Oklahoma and moved to the Decatur, Neb., area in 1966. During his career, he was employed with several pipeline companies. He was the manager of a hog farm until he retired in 2000.

Charlie married Cindy McMullin on Aug. 30, 1981, in Decatur, Neb. They resided in Lyons, Neb.

Charlie loved to hunt and always awaited the opening of hunting season. He spent much time fishing and enjoyed going to casinos. He will be remembered for his joke-telling talent.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Stephanie Warren and her husband, Jimmy, Decatur, Neb., Lisa Peltier and her fiance, Sonny Albers and Teresa Stillman, all of Battle Creek, Neb.; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Justus, Righteous, Brenna, Nicholas, Besti and Faith; six brothers, Clyde, John, Gene, Conver, Donnie and Curtiss; and five sisters, Dobie, Linda Sue, Carolyn, Lorene and Oleta.

Bearers were Brian Frese, Larry McCullock, Allen Frese, John McMullin, Matt Sears, Joe Russell and Bill Russell.
