"Mrs. Virginia Bell Blackwell, 94, wife of the late A. A. Blackwell, died Tuesday at 9:35 p.m. at her home in Handsboro. She had been in failing health for two years. Mrs. Blackwell is survived by two sons, Homer Blackwell, Handsboro, and Wade Blackwell, Gulfport; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Seymour and Mrs. Lillie Moran, both of Biloxi; Mrs. Quilla Suppe and Mrs. Rose Alexander, both of Gulfport; Mrs. Dell Johnson, Saucier; Mrs. Ethel Blalack, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Dona Robinson, Handsboro; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the home with the Rev. Dave Holland, Saucier Baptist Church, and the Rev. John Wingate, Handsboro Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Blackwell Cemetery, Rt. 2, Saucier. The body will be taken from Reimann's Chapel at 2 p.m. today to the home in Handsboro."
