Johnny was the youngest of eight children born to David Ransom and Lilly 'Ellen' (Peck) Eudy. He married Roxie Elwanda (Rollins) and they had one daughter: Janice.

MT. PLEASANT Mr. Eudy, 74, of 36062 Finger Road, died March 23, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Salem United Methodist Church, Rev. Mark Denton, Pastor. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Stanly County DAV, Chapter #12. There will be no scheduled receiving hours. The family will be at the residence, 36062 Finger Road, Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124.
Born January 20, 1930 in Stanly County, NC, he was a son of the late Ellen Lillie Peck Eudy and David Ransom Eudy, and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Mr. Eudy began his working career as a carpenter and farmer. In 1952, he enlisted in the Air Force for an eight year tour of duty. After discharge from the Air Force, he went to work for Thurston Motor Lines of Charlotte as a driver and retired with 24½ years of service. In 1979, he started a Christmas tree farm and ran this business successfully until 1995 when he sold the farm.
During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and giving his produce to others. He often drove long distances to give produce to his friends. He was also a craftsman and loved to build furniture. He was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie, Claude, Cecil, Henry, Dewey and Carlton Eudy, and sisters, Sophronia Rogers, Mae Wagoner, Virginia Mitchell, Mary Hathcock, Helen Eudy and Lena Brown Eudy.
Survivors are his wife, Roxie Elwanda Rollins Eudy of the home; daughter, Janice Skene of Charlotte; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Salem UMC New Fellowship Building Fund, 21007 NC 73, Albemarle, NC 28001, or to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
