STERLING H. GANTZ
Sterling H. Gantz, 350 Alderman Ave., Sharon, a retired area businessman, died at 5:20 a.m. Monday (9-6-82) in Mercer County Home and Hospital, Coolspring Township, where he had been a patient since May. He had been in failing health for several years. He was 88.
Mr. Gantz was born in Akron, Ohio, April 7, 1894, to the late Warren J. and Effie Anna Everhardt Gantz.
He owned and operated Gantz Heating and Roofing Co. at the Alderman Avenue address for over 50 years, retiring in 1967.
He was a member of East Side Baptist-Disciple of Christ Church, Sharon, was an elder emeritus and a former trustee. He was also a member of Shenango Lodge 668, Free and Accepted Masons, and New Castle Consistory.
Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Blair, whom he married in Sharon Nov. 15, 1924; two sons, Warren, Garland, Texas, and Paul J., Sharon; a sister, Mrs. William (Uldene) Cameron, San Gabriel, Calif.; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Three brothers preceded him in death.
Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage (formerly Hickory Twp.), Mercer Co., PA
