Elwood E. Gettman, 75, of 770 17th St. NE, died Monday. Born in Fordville, N. D., he had lived in Salem since 1929. He spent 38 years as a Railway Express driver before retiring, and was a past president of Eagles Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Opal I.; and daughters, Jeanne Eden, Salem, and Kathryn Failmezger, Milwaukie. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Belcrest Memorial Park chapel, followed by entombment. Arrangements are by Barrick mortuary. The family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
