1921 - David J. DeLong, of near Ballietsville, died on Tuesday morning at the Sacred Heart hospital of a complication of diseases, aged 58 years. He is survived by two sons, John E., of Guth's Station, and Samuel, of Allentown, one daughter Mattie E., at home, three brothers, Daniel, of Lafayette, Ind.; Paul, of Greenawalds, and Tilden, of Ballietsville, and seven sisters, Mrs. Preston Mickley, of Schnecksville R. 1; Miss Sarah, of Allentown; Mrs. Alvin Brown, of Egypt; Mrs. Milton Schneck, of Coplay, R. 1; Mrs. Benjamin Geiger, of Cementon; Mrs. Quillia Moyer, of Schnecksville R. 1, and Mrs. William Gravitz, of Steelton. Rev. J. O. Oswald, of Slatington, will conduct funeral services on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with further services and burial at Union church.

In the announcement yesterday of the death on Tuesday at the Sacred Heart hospital of David J. DeLong, of near Ballietsville, the name of his widow, Mrs. Ellen, nee Troxell, DeLong, was inadvertently omitted from the list of surviving relatives. The name of the one daughter should have appeared as Maggie E., and not Mattie E., as it was given. Mr. DeLong was preceded in death by a son Harvey DeLong, who lost his life during the world war, while he was on foreign duty.
