Evelyn Pauline McCabe, 78, of Morgantown, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Monongalia General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Monongalia County, daughter of the late Mack Roy and Flora Bell Long Sisler.

She was formerly employed by the Star City Glass Co. and Morgan Shirt Factory. She attended the Crescent Hills Chapel in Westover.

She is survived by a son and spouse, James A. and Sandy McCabe, of Kingwood; four sisters and spouses, Gladys Ratzer, of Tunnelton, Hester and Denzel McEldowney, of Vienna, Ester Ratzer, of Marietta, Ohio, and Elsie and James Holmes, of Hampton, Ga.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and good friends, Phyllis and Bob Roy, of Morgantown.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Henry McCabe II, in 1977; a son, John McCabe III; two brothers, Raymond and Lester Sisler; and a sister, Madeline Knotts.

Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, until the 11 a.m. service, with the Rev. K Almond officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Kingwood.
