Graveside services for Ronald Keith Blume, 72, Logansport, will be held at a later date.
He passed away at 12:06 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2008, at his residence.
Born May 25, 1935, in Logansport, he was the son of Bertie Roy and Fern Etta Ross Blume. He was married Sept. 9, 1953, in Logansport, to Doris J. Cappa, who survives.
Mr. Blume retired as a quality control lab technician from GenCorp in 1995, after 35 years of employment.
He had many interests and hobbies including, fishing, camping, making walking sticks, photography, rock hounding, wine making, ham radio, reading, computer chatting and spending time with family and friends and his beloved dog, Opie.
Also surviving are two sons, Craig L. Blume and his wife, Andra, and William K. Blume, all of Logansport; one daughter, Sheila Anderson and her husband, Rex, Clymers; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Nathan, Andrew, Matthew, Kyle, Kasey, Brian and Shelly; three great-grandchildren, Lyric, Hollyn and Natalie; several nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Fred Rothermel, Wabash; three sisters-in-law, Miriam Blume, Dayton, Ohio, Evelyn Blume, Indianapolis, and Bertha Selders, Logansport.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Kris L. Blume and Donald E. Blume; one granddaughter, Kristin Marie Blume; four brothers, Bill, Harold, Leon and Kenny; and two sisters, Maxine Rothermel and Edna Study.
The Rev. Douglas Mankell will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Zion Cemetery in Lucerne.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kroeger Funeral Home.
