Gloria Graber was the first born of three daughters born to Theodore Alexander Lapham (1910-1955) and Alice Lucretia Wellin (1916-1985). After her parents' divorce, in 1944, she and her sisters were raised by her mother's second husband, Willard Pershing Graber (1918-1989).

On the 23 April 1949, Gloria married James Marty, in Kelso, Cowlitz Co., Washington. However, their marriage only lasted about four months, ending in divorce in July 1949. Although their marriage was brief, Gloria and James had a daughter together, Crystal Lynn Marty, who was later adopted by Gloria's second husband, Daniel Carson Graber, the son of Joseph Carson Graber (1910-1955) and Sarah Elizabeth Fosdick (1912-1983), whom she married on 22 July 1950 in Portland, Oregon. Following their marriage, and Crystal's adoption, Gloria and Dan had one son together, Steven Allen Graber.

In about the early 1960s, Gloria, Dan, and their children, moved to Westminster, Orange Co., California, where Gloria's parents and siblings had already moved; and where she would remain for the rest of her life.

Gloria passed away on the 2 June 2008 from heart failure, following a heart attack three weeks earlier. She was proceeded in death by her parents (Alice and Theodore Lapham), her step-father (Willard Graber); her sister (Margaret Kernan), her half-sisters (Sharolyn Rush and Marla Porter-York), a half-brother (Roger Graber-Hayes), three nephews (Steven Anderson, Patrick Kernan, and Richard Kernan), and a niece (Vicki Bradford). She is survived by her husband (Dan), her two children (Crystal and Steven) and their families, her sister (Jacque) and her family, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel on the 6 June 2008, after which she was cremated. Please visit her Everlasting Memorial page.
